How to access urgent after hours care
IMPORTANT!
All urgent requests begin with TeleHealth triage. We do not provide medical advice via text message.
Step 1 — Text Our Urgent Care Number (NOT ACTIVE YET - PENDING)
Send a text (SMS) message including:
- Your full name
- Brief description of the problem
- How long it has been present
- Your level of pain (1–10)
- Photos of the toe/foot if possible
Example text:
“Hi, my name is Sarah Smith. I have a very painful ingrown toenail for 4 days, pain 8/10. I think it may be infected. Photo attached.”
You will then receive a secure link to book a TeleHealth consultation.
Step 2 - Book & Pay Telehealth Triage Consultation ($90).
All urgent care begins with a Telehealth consultation ($90).
During the Telehealth consultation we will:
• Assess your condition
• Provide medical advice and treatment recommendations
• Prescribe medication if appropriate
• Decide if you need also urgent treatment at our Woolloongabba clinic after hours.
A secure payment link will be sent via SMS.
Your Telehealth appointment is confirmed once payment is completed.
Important:
If we recommend you require an in-clinic appointment, your $90 Telehealth fee is credited toward your visit.
STEP 3 — If Needed, Attend Urgent In-Clinic Appointment
If urgent treatment is required, we will organise a same-day or same- weekend appointment where possible, and staffing is available.
Costs:
- After-Hours Call-Out Fee (Clinic-Based): $100 (Saturdays), $150 (Sundays)
- Professional Fees will apply for all services provided, including treatment, medical products and consumables, and medical aids (eg moon boots) in addition to the Call-Out Fee.
A fees estimate will be provided prior to any treatment for informed financial consent. Private health fund rebates may apply for these services depending on your own circumstances and insurance policy. We are unlikely to be able to provide an accurate estimate of this in advance for after hours services.

When to go to a Hospital Emergency Department
Our service is intended for mild to moderate foot injuries or problems, and does not replace specialist hospital emergency department care.
You should call ' 000 ' to request an ambulance and seek immediate specialist Emergency Department (ED) care if you experience:
- Sudden or intense foot or calf pain and/or shortness of breath - this could indicate a clot or deep vein thrombosis (DVT) / pulmonary embolus (PE)
- Signs of rapidly worsening infection such as red streaks running up your leg, fevers, high temperatures, and feeling generally unwell
- A severe foot or ankle injury with marked swelling that is worsening
- Wounds that won't stop bleeding
- Wounds and injuries that expose bone tissue
- Acute and rapid loss of sensation or very pale colour to the leg or foot
Ignoring symptoms can lead to more serious and very severe complications, especially for patients with diabetes or circulation issues.
Fast, Compassionate Care
Our goal is to provide efficient treatment in a comfortable and supportive environment. We understand that emergencies can be stressful, which is why we prioritize urgent cases and work quickly to diagnose the issue and recommend the best course of treatment.
